Training is the number one thing you should do to jump higher. Many people will just day dream about what they want to do but those who take action will only succeed. This is the same solution to how to jump higher. You have to take action and it should be continuous and regular.

Doing just any type of training will not help.It will provide something of value if it is balanced. Balance is important in each and everything. Do exercises such that the entire body is developed. The amount of importance which is given to the lower body should also be provided to the upper part of the body.Doing exercises which concentrate on one part of the body may cause some damage to other parts of the body. This is why balance is very important.
